Eastern Engineering Supply is a family-owned company which has been serving its clients for over 50 years. They primarily cater to the AEC industry — the architects, engineers and construction firms, selling large format printers, printer service, printer supplies, office copiers, online plan room, eComm construction management software, and color graphic printing services.
More than half of the 55 employees have been with Eastern Engineering for more than 10 years. That is something that resonates with STAR, a community bank which has been serving its neighbors for over 80 years, now serving communities from Angola down to Indianapolis.

STAR Central Region President Trent Dowling has had the privilege of working with Eastern Engineering and the Langdon family for the past 20 years, starting with Mary and then Don and Mark, and now Emma and Tyler, the third generation.
The custom relationship with STAR allowed them to achieve becoming the number 1 HP reseller in their industry.

“With STAR bank saying, ‘whatever you need, we’re here for you,’ that just told us everything we needed to know,” said Dawn Langdon, President of Eastern Engineering.
It also allowed them to grow to over 50 employees and 6 locations in four states — Indiana, Ohio, Illinois and Michigan.
“I’ve kind of got to grow up with them,” said Dowling. “As their company has expanded and my role expanded with the bank, we got to grow together and to see the transition from one generation to the next has been great.”

Central Region President
Trent serves as the regional president of commercial banking in STAR’s central region serving the Muncie, Marion and Anderson area along with surrounding communities. He has nearly 30 years of experience in banking, including over 20 years with STAR. He serves his community as a volunteer, active church member and boys basketball coach. He serves as a board member or in officer roles at The Community Foundation of Muncie & Delaware County, The Hopewell Center, Meridian Health Services and Anderson Revolving Loan Fund. Dowling received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ball State University in Muncie. He lives in east central Indiana with his wife of 22 years and two sons.
